Date 22/03/2021 Comments 0 comment The Catholic University of Bukavu aligns eleven winners out of the twenty-five who obtained the scholarship of excellence from the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Foundation (KAS) in the Democratic Republic of Congo following a selection process involving a writing phase and an oral test phase. For the 2020-2021 academic year, reaching almost half of the scholarships is a reason for pride. Out of the eleven UCB students receiving the scholarship, four are regularly registered at the Faculty of Medicine, two at the Faculty of Agriculture, two at the Faculty of Law, two at the Faculty of Economics and one at the Faculty of Social Sciences. One of the candidates revealed to us: “First of all, I have to say that I was not expecting to be selected given the level of competition. I was therefore pleasantly surprised when one afternoon while checking my emails, I saw the email from the national representative of the Foundation congratulating me on my final selection as a scholarship beneficiary for the year 2021. (… ) I was very happy and grateful as well. This year I decided to focus not only on obtaining my graduate degree, but also to work much more in the humanitarian field, and why not pursue a Master’s degree in Conflict Management if I have the means. I will ask other students to believe in their personal abilities, to set goals and work hard until they reach them, to maintain good social relationships with those around them and to always be up to date with the world news. I show my sincere thanks to KAS Foundation and encourage them to continue to support students all over the world. As for my university, I thank them and request them to be closer and listen to students. ” The Catholic University of Bukavu thanks all moral and physical people who continue to financially assist students in terms of scholarships. May our feelings of gratitude be especially sent to Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) Foundation in the Democratic Republic of Congo. We also thank all our partners who provide support to our students in various ways.
