Thirty-three members of the academic, scientific, administrative and technical staff attended the training in which presentations around topics related to project writing were led by five trainers from the Universities mentioned above. The workshop organized by the International Cooperation service focused on following main points: Project proposals writing, generic approach, Funding opportunities of Erasmus+, Funding opportunities of VLIR UOS and Global Minds, Academic writing, New strategies and techniques for Networking, Testimony of CEGEMI on various funding possibilities and acquired experiences. Overall, partners and participants expectations were met and they expressed their satisfaction with this session which is just the beginning of a long series. Professor Sara Geenen (University of Antwerp), one of the trainers, said that it is “important and positive that the Rector of UCB puts more emphasis on external funds, being a private institution which receives no subsidy from the government, projects represent one of the main funding sources of the University” in addition to students tuition fees.
