E-learning: UCB planning to launch online classes in February 2021 Date 31/01/2021 Comments 0 comment The Catholic University of Bukavu (UCB) was among the first institutions to launch online learning (e-learning) during the 1st wave of Covid-19 in DRC. Despite the difficulties related to this method of teaching, in particular the unavailability of computers or smartphones for some students and the high price of Internet access, e-learning made it possible to end the last academic year on time, it was an opportunity for students to train in self-learning and for teachers to adapt to a new way of teaching. Faced with the persistent uncertainty concerning the date of resumption of face-to-face courses, UCB is considering restarting e-learning in February 2021, by opting to start, on the proposal of the faculties, with courses with fewer practical issues last time. Face-to-face classes will resume as soon as possible, possibly with brief revisions of certain subjects that will have been taught online.
