Analysis of agribusiness opportunities in South-Kivu. In the context of Bukavu Agribusiness Incubation Center (BAIC) project financed by the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM), a two-day training on agribusiness will be held in Bukavu, at the Université Catholique de Bukavu (UCB) from 25th to 26th January 2020. The main objectives of the training are: (1) to transform the mindset and perceptions of the youth towards agribusiness and (2) to equip youth with appropriate agribusiness skills, knowledge and information. In total, 25 groups of students (each group represented by at least 2 members) will be selected and invited to attend the training which will be facilitated by Prof. Bucekuderhwa Bashige Celestin (PhD in Rural Economics and head of UCB start-up incubator), Prof. Balemba Kanyurhi Eddy (PhD in Microfinance and Management) and Mr. Bidubula Juwa Guillaume (MSc in Microfinance and Financial Management and current Finance director of the General Provincial Referral Hospital of Bukavu). Three main subjects will be covered during the training including: Analysis of agribusiness opportunities in South-Kivu, Market analysis and Business plan development.
