Project proposal writing skills for funds and other opportunities The Seeds and Foods Research Center of the Université Catholique de Bukavu will be holding a 3-day capacity building workshop for the University community at Bugabo Campus at the Center of Excellence. This workshop, funded by the Dutch organization for internationalization in education (NUFFIC) and led by Mr Carel Jaspers (Director of Q-point BV), gathering various academic and administrative staffs will be held from Tuesday 14 to Thursday, January 16, 2020. Participants will be trained on “Project proposal writing skills for funds and other opportunities.” The objective of the training is to equip the University staff on how to come to a carefully designed, well-reasoned proposal. Focusing on the nature of the problem, the approach to the problem, the competence of the investigators, the conditions of the research environment and the possible pitfalls. Participants will get a guidance in answering questions like: What are we going to learn that we do not know now as a result of the proposed project? Why is it worth knowing? How will we know that the conclusions are valid? As an outcome of the training, the participants should be able to: Identify and select high potential tenders and funds; Identify suitable partners for proposals; Organize effective proposal writing at the University.
