Konrad-Adenauer Stiftung 2022 scholarships: seven UCB students among the sixteen beneficiaries in DRC

Out the sixteen students nominated for the Konrad-Adenauer Stiftung 2022 scholarship of excellence in the Democratic Republic of Congo, seven of them are from the Catholic University of Bukavu.
Konrad Adenauer was the first chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany and his fundamental political orientation remains the foundation of German foreign policy to this day. The contribution of his foundation to the development of non-German youth is a fundamental impulse for international cooperation.
During the first public opportunity (2019-2020) of this so-called “local scholarship” grant contributing to the funding of studies for young students with exceptional qualities, the Catholic University of Bukavu had four students out of ten Congolese student beneficiaries. For the 2020-2021 academic year, we reached almost half of the scholarships by aligning eleven out of the twenty-five students selected in the whole country. Out of the sixteen students nominated for 2021-2022 academic year in the Democratic Republic of Congo after a selection process including a writing and an oral examination , seven of them are from the Catholic University of Bukavu with four enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine, two in Economics and one in Social Sciences.
The Catholic University of Bukavu is grateful to whoever continues to provide financial and technical support to students in form of scholarships. We are particularly grateful to the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
