Professor KILOSHO BURAYYE Janvier was sworn in as General Manager of the Catholic University of Bukavu by the Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Bukavu, representative the Great Chancellor of the Catholic University of Bukavu, Abbé Delphin BUKUNGUTA, during the investiture ceremony held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Bugabo Campus. General Administrator KILOSHO BURAYE Janvier replaces Mr. LUKULI PETEMOYA Jean-Claude, who worked with dedication for six years as General Manager.

Professeur KILOSHO BURAYE Janvier was elected by the University Council on April 26, 2024. Thanks to his experience and remarkable background as an alumnus of his alma mater and Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, he brings fresh impetus to the operational and strategic management of the University.

In his address, the representative of the Great Chancellor paid a vibrant tribute to the outgoing Manager for his various achievements over the six years that constituted his two terms of office. At the same time, he congratulated Professor KILOSHO BURAYE Janvier on his investiture as General Manager, inviting him to continue the good works undertaken by his predecessor for the rayonnement of UCB over the lakes and mountains.

The Rector, Professor BISIMWA BALALUKA Ghislain, while wishing the new Manager a fruitful term, praised the outgoing Manager for his contribution to the smooth running of the University through his commitment and dedication during the mandates entrusted to him.

The speeches were concluded by the intervention of the invested Manager, Professor KILOSHO BURAYYE Janvier, who placed his mandate under “UCB, a home of us all, which we must serve conscientiously with efficiency, integrity, fairness, professionalism, Christian faith and a sense of grandeur”.
