The USOS Cooperation immersion trip between the Catholic University of Bukavu (UCB) and the University of Antwerp in Belgium is part of intercultural exchanges between Congolese students from UCB and Belgians from the University of Antwerp. It creates for the students of the various Faculties an opportunity of academic internship in their curriculum. This Cooperation began in August of the 2015-2016 academic year with a first team of seven Congolese who had welcomed seven Belgians to Bukavu. Given the good progress of the exchange and the socio-academic interactions between participants, the USOS immersion trip project took place every following year within the same outline of interuniversity collaboration between the two institutions except the 2017- 2018 academic year.
