Welcoming students for registration During the registration period, a special welcome team, made of older students, is available to help new candidate students to go through the registration procedure (filling forms, paying registration fees, etc.) and also provides information about the University. Students’ integration Welcome and integration ceremonies for new students are organized during the first half of October. This period coincides with the official start of the academic year. A series of events are organized on different campuses. These activities are coordinated by the Academic Services in collaboration with the Students’ Board. They include introductory sessions to various regulations (student regulations, exam regulations, university statutes, university policy for child protection, university policy on safety and security, university policy on prevention and fight against fraud and corruption), explanations on the functioning of the main services of the University, introduction to values advocated by the University and preparation for cultural and sports activities. A party is held on the Kalambo campus as closing event of this integration period. Welcoming international students International students are integrated in the same way as nationals. A private reception ceremony is organized at the Bugabo campus after the first month of the academic year. These students are received by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of Academic Affairs in order to benefit from specific information.
